My name is Emery Williams and I am married to Wendy Williams and have three children; Emery the II, Kai and Jada there ages are twelve, seven and six. We now reside in Easley South Carolina and we are proud to say we are the owners of Total Fitness Center.

 

Being raised in Belton South Carolina I attended Palmetto High School and graduated in 1991; my parents had saved their entire life for me to go to college, but God had other plans for my life. I used my college fund in 1993 to purchase a small 4,000 square fitness center named, "Charlies Gym" with a membership of 50 members.
 

Shortly after purchasing Charlies Gym; Wendy start attending Charlies Gym and soon we started dating and then 2 years later we were married. We both began to work 16 hours day and even lived in an apartment in the back of the gym for a year. God began to bless us and only two years later we were up to one thousand members. Then we began to look all over Powdersville for land to build a larger facility, but little did we need know the land that we would soon purchase was right across the street.
 

We purchased the land and built our current 20,000 square foot fitness center that we are presently operating. We have over the last ten years grown to over three-thousand members. At this time we are preparing to soon build a new facility next to our current location and the expansion will offer new and exciting amenities to our support our growing clientele. We have also purchased ten acres adjacent to Total Fitness to develop Youth Sporting Fields.
 

This will be one of the most unique and state-of-the-art fitness centers in the state of South Carolina. We are also proud to announce the conception of the PYSA Powdersville Youth Sports Association. Once we have completed our new facility. Our current building that we are in now will be converted into an after school and summer day camp facility for our youth. We will be developing a youth sports training program called, "Domination Athletic Training (Where we don't just train athletes to play sports, we train athletes to dominate in sports.). We want to thank the upstate for supporting Total Fitness for the last eighteen years and we are looking forward to years to come. Lynnette Carter - Personal Trainer

Lynnette has a passion for fitness and helping others of all ages to achieve their personal fitness goals. She has been with Total Family Fitness Center for over 4 years. She has taught Beginner Step Aerobics, Advanced Step Aerobics, Water Aerobics, Sculpting, and Strengthening and Conditioning. In addition, she has studied nutrition for nearly 30 years. Lynnette wants to help you obtain optimum well-being by becoming active, a proper diet, and focusing on the whole body’s health.

 

With 8 children herself, Lynnette knows the importance of exercise during pregnancy and toning the body after child birth. If you are pregnant or have just recently delivered a child, she is an expert in this area. She incorporates strength training and promotes proven strategies to help mothers maintain fitness during pregnancy. In addition, research proves that mothers who stay active and work out are more likely to have easier deliveries and quickly get back in shape post-delivery.
 

As your Personal Trainer, Lynnette can help you improve your strength and flexibility to transform your body and ultimately your life. For members who are rehabilitating from an illness or injury, Lynette develops individual programs to meet your needs. She focuses on increasing mobility and coordination in order to meet your personal goals for overall health and happiness.
 

 

Sandra Patricia Jankowsky - Zumba Fitness

Sandra has a wealth of experience in ZUMBA. She has been with Total Fitness for a year. Zumba is a Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, dance-fitness party. Zumba is energetic, high-cardio blast working every major muscle group. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms like salsa, merengue, salsa, and sexy Latin and international beats. Before Participants know it, their abs, arms and thighs are toned and their energy level is soaring! 

 

Bill- Advocate

Bill been with Total Fitness for over 3 months. He recently re-dedicated himself in order to get himself back into shape. He went from a 36 (pushing 38) waist to a 32 inch waist. Now he is in the process of building muscle and toning. Bill is an outstanding energetic, big hearted, Christian family man with 9 children. His passion is to help others by achieving their best body. Bill continuously demonstrates in his life that “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!” Philippians 4:8.

 

Cathy Secord – Personal Trainer

Cathy has been in the fitness field for more than 15 years. Based on her personal testimony at the age of thirty-seven, she had 40% body fat, weighed 250 pounds, and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a chronic, constant pain. As a last resort, she tried fitness. From beginners level she did more than achieve. Now, she bench presses 155 pounds, squats 250 pounds, and shrugs 315 pounds. She dropped down to 147 pounds with 18% body fat. Her life is changed forever.

 

Cathy specializes by helping others change their quality of life by getting healthy. Clients learn a new way of life by becoming stronger, losing inches, losing body fat. In return, they feel amazing and live life to its fullest. She is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Steve Kay –Personal Trainer

Steve has been with Total Fitness for over 9 years. Within 20 years of training he has obtained a NATIONAL level competitive bodybuilder. Steve has advanced knowledge in strength training, body sculpting, nutrition, and weight loss. He takes fitness very seriously by taking you to the next level. he is a cert. Contact Steve Monday through Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Brooks Williams – Weight Loss Specialist

Brooks has been with Total Fitness for over a year. He began his body transformation weighing in at 303 pounds. He now weighs 243 pounds. As a weight loss specialist, he can show you how to achieve your goals. Brooks learned how to eat right and lose weight from GetRight Personal Training. As a current advertisement and sales manager, he continues to work towards becoming a body builder and personal trainer. Denise Montgomery – Nursery Director

Denise has been with Total Fitness for 6 years serving in the nursery. She has a passion for working with children. Denise is loving, playful, and gives our children a great experience while you focus on you. She provides the children with meaningful, educational, and age-appropriate activities in a safe and clean environment.
